Day 33 and I finally hit the gym. Of course next week is insane, so we'll see if I can get it together. Today was legs and shoulders day. I usually work on a three day rotation. Legs and shoulders, then back and biceps, and then chest and triceps. Once I get in a groove and get there consistently for a few weeks I usually don't stray. It's the first few weeks of creating the habit that are a challenge. Also, holy cow am I out of shape. Uggg. I did about 40 minutes of weights with intervals of cardio things in-between (like squats to tossing a medicine ball, or mountain climbers, etc). Then it was off to the cardio room for 30 minutes. I usually like to do a full hour but I'm giving myself permission to keep the total workout to around an hour or an hour and a half. In the past, when I hit the gym I was always there for two hours and I have OCD, so it's kind of a struggle to keep it real. The problem with a two hour workout is that is eats up so much of my kid-free time so I'm trying to compromise with myself.
It was my night off, so the calories aren't great today but thankfully, I worked out, so not awful overall. Because I broke the 20lb mark (only by a hair) I re-did my BMR CALC.
Today's BMR CALC: (1,809+490 (exercise))-1,701= 598 Calorie Deficit
Here's what I ate today. . .
